ALLS WELL AT TITCHWELL

The first phase of work to restore the reedbed at Titchwell, Norfolk was completed in October 2003. Ditches have been re-instated and new pools dug to increase the amount of open water for fish and bitterns. Reed is already growing back.

The banks will be shaped next year, when the spoil is dryer and easier to work. They will also provide burrowing places for water voles, which thrive at Titchwell.
