DUNGENESS GETS NEW REEDBED IN THE MAKING...
Reeds are now being planted into a new shallow lake at Dungeness, Kent. The area was created in the autumn of 2002, with areas at different depths so that there will always be some wet reedbed for bitterns to feed in. The new area is already popular with lots of birds.
