The Bittern in Europe: A Guide to Species and Habitat Management
This handbook has been produced with the financial assistance of the European Commission through the EU LIFE NATURE Co-op funding programme.
This new Handbook has just been published (2006). It aims to encourage Bittern conservation in Europe by providing information on the latest research results and habitat management.
The handbook:
- collects together the experience and knowledge developed by EU-LIFE projects.
- improves understanding of Bittern ecology and habitat requirements.
- should contribute to an increase in the Bittern population in the enlarged European Union.
This project is led by the Brandenburg LUA with the RSPB and LPO (Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux.
The handbook is FREE and is available in both paper* and cd-rom format. *Please note there will be a postage and packing (p&p) charge for paper copies of the handbook. For delivery within the UK, p&p will cost £2.00 for up to 3 handbooks. For delivery outside of the UK, p&p will cost £7.85 per handbook.
